When we signed the purchase agreement in March they had just started the second phase of our community. There were no houses started on the two streets back there. Now there are a ton that have been sold and probably 3 nearing completion (at least look like it on the outside), another 6 or so mid-build, and some others waiting to be started. It's so fun going out there every week and seeing our little neighborhood being put together and getting a peak at what it will look like. All the houses look so great. So far we've seen 2 Venices, 2 other Naples, a Florence, and a Carolina. Some of the other houses are too early in the build to recognize. Another thing in "neighborhood news" is we noticed they are offering different models now. They now have the Dunkirk, Brentwood, Carolina, and Chantilly Place (along with the other models they've always had) which they didn't offer in our community before.
Now for the house news! Day 17: Saturday evening we drove out to the house to see the framing. It was so exciting to pull down the street and actually see our house! They've been working hard and it looked like the first floor was pretty close to being done. Here are some pictures we took that day:
Our house!!! Walking from the cul-de-sac..
Garage on left-you can see straight through the garage into the family room.

To the right of the family room is the kitchen-
this is in the kitchen looking towards the front of the house.

Our house from the other street...
After we left the house we went out to dinner and then to listen to music in the "square". We are really loving our new community. I really think it will be the perfect place for the kids to grow up!
I love how the top half of your front door is a window. Looks great!

DeleteOne of the best parts that I've found to building a house is all the time spent in the house before you move in. Our kids were very comfortable here when we moved because we had been here so much. They knew where everything was and, although it was new, it was still very familiar. Glad to hear you are already enjoying your new community!
ReplyDeleteI agree! It's pretty neat seeing the kids recognizing the street already or when we drive by our soon-to-be church or the horse stable they know where we are! I'm looking forward to them being familiar with the inside of the house so it will be a smooth transition for them. I hope you guys are enjoying your new house!
DeleteThose rates are super low! We have hit the supposed 60 day mark so I need to confirm that they are still going to hold to August 7th closing date.
ReplyDeleteGood luck locking in this week! It looks like for us rates have been lowest on Fridays so we are hoping to lock this Friday.
DeleteExciting!! Your door is gorgeous--is that the standard or a special request?
ReplyDeleteThanks! The door is standard with cottage style elevations normally. We didn't get a cottage style elevation but the front door and upgraded garage door are standard with all houses on our street.
