Progress Pics and Framing Next Week!

Our PM called Dan yesterday and said we're one day behind schedule because of all the rain we've been having.  He said the foundation inspection was done yesterday (Friday) and the backfilling should be done today (Saturday) or Sunday.  Our wood will be delivered on Monday and framing should start on Wednesday!!!

We hadn't been out to the site since last Saturday.  We're trying to only go out once a week since it's a little bit of a drive.  So we were happy to see all the progress that has been done since we had been out there last.  Here are some progress pics...

We love that the kids can run in the street and we don't need to worry!

This month I am doing a parenting challenge from my sister's blog at :  http://babysteps365.blogspot.com/ .
The first challenge was to pick out a "gratitude rock" and keep it with you.  Whenever you remember it or feel it in your pocket-you think of something you are grateful for.  We thought it would be perfect to pick out our rocks from the new homesite.  We each picked out a rock...here's the girly with what she picked...

  1. Looks like good progress. I wonder if they are going to put up support beams in your garage area where those notches are, that will be interesting. You have a nice family there as well!

    1. We were thinking those are probably for support beams too Thomas. The Naples has 2 bedrooms over the garage so maybe that's why? don't know much about this stuff!

  2. Great progress! We love our new street as well because the kids can play without worrying about traffic as there are only 4 houses on our cul-de-sac.

    1. Wow only 4! That's awesome! Our site plan has 9 around the cul-de-sac and we are the first house before the actual "circle" starts. So far there is only 1 house on the circle (still being built).
